The UN Task Force on Social and Solidarity Economy has a new website

The UN Inter-Agency Task Force on Social and Solidarity Economy (UNTFSSE) was established in 2013 to raise the visibility of the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) within the UN system and beyond. The Task Force members and observers undertake joint initiatives: producing reports and briefs; organizing events related to SSE in connection with relevant UN processes and conferences; and creating partnerships and dialogue with governmental and civil society entities. Mass open online course on the social and solidarity economy

In 2023, the ILO developed a two-module mass open online course (MOOC) on the social and solidarity economy (SSE) for the UNTFSSE, with support from the Government of Luxembourg. In addition, the Sustainable Enterprises and Economies (SEE) Programme and the Workers’ Activities Programme (ACTRAV) of the ITCILO developed two additional modules. Workshop: Social and Solidarity Economy for Advancing the Sustainable Development Goals in Asia

The ILO is organizing a regional workshop on the social and solidarity economy in Asia in Bangkok, Thailand on 18-19 June 2024. Following presentations and discussions countrywide teams from Cambodia, Mongolia, Thailand and Vietnam will work on national action plans. Task Force Members including UN ESCAP and observers including the ICA and RIPESS will also participate and contribute to the workshop programme. You can sign up for the hybrid event here
