A multistakeholder meeting, joining civil society and Governments, is planned at the UN Headquarters in New York on 13 December, 2022 from 10:00 to 12:00 pm (NYT).

The event “How can the international recognition of Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) help achieve the SDGs through social and inclusive innovation?” is co-organized by the Government of France, Spain, Chile, Senegal and the UN Inter-Agency Task Force on Social and Solidarity Economy (UNTFSSE).

The objective of the meeting is to raise awareness on the positive development impact of the social and solidarity economy, that can help localize the SDGs and render the recovery more inclusive, resilient and sustainable using experiences shared by Member States and civil society. It also aims to foster exchanges among CSOs and SSE organizations and decision makers to identify how best to advance the SSE and help us accelerate achievement of the SDGs.

Web stream will be available on the UN TV Weblink: https://media.un.org/en/asset/k11/k11kysh0gc.

The event will be available in English, French, Spanish.
