This session is organized in the framework of 5th Edition of the Global Social Economy Forum (GSEF) on “Local Government and Social Economy: co-creation of paths for a green and inclusive economy”.
GSEF2021 was be an opportunity to call for dialogue and action representation of national and local governments, members of civil society, academia, researchers, experts, private organizations, as well as international organizations committed to the development of the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) at a global level, with the intention of involving them in the eradication of the inequalities in our societies. It was be host by Mexico City in a hybrid format.
The session on “Develop territorial and international alliances to promote the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) as a people-centred and planet-sensitive economy” reflected on different key aspects characterizing the social and solidarity economy (SSE) as key actor in the pursuit of Agenda 2030 and a better recovery. The panel discussion focused on the importance of alliances and partnerships at different levels – local, national, regional and international- to strengthen SSE ecosystems and promote SSE’s role in the achievement of the SDGs, in order to promote a people-centred and planet-sensitive economy. The session, co-organized by the UN Inter-Agency Task Force and on Social and Solidarity Economy (UNTFSSE) and Intercontinental network for the promotion of social solidarity economy (RIPESS), benefited from its members and observers’ experiences and knowledge.
It is organized also thanks to the contribution of the Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation (ACCD) to RIPESS’ activities.
